What an incredible day we had this past Sunday as we hosted a worship service and reception celebrating the reassignment of Bishop David Graves to our Annual Conference! Payton and I have often remarked that we feel God has given Mulberry a spiritual gift of hospitality. That gift was on full display Sunday afternoon as we welcomed folks from all across our Annual Conference, and a few from other conferences, to celebrate and fellowship together. As Debbie Heller commented, we were, “a light to our Annual Conference!”
What I have also discovered is we have many selfless servants among us; another way God has gifted this church. And in living out our spiritual gifts as a church, we provided hope, light, and encouragement to those who attended. That’s the power of living out our spiritual gifts, whether as individuals or as a church: we shine the light of Christ and the results are lives impacted and improved by encountering the risen Christ in our midst.
I heard several who commented they were, “proud to be a Mulberrian,” Sunday evening. Let me add my voice: I am also proud to be a Mulberrian.
Peace,
Ted
