This week’s Staff Spotlight is our new Director of Family Ministries, Elisa Reece! Elisa began her position just this Monday. Elisa is responsible for our children and youth programs as well as programming and support for parents of children ages birth through eighteen. She will focus on supporting and developing the spiritual lives of our existing families while also reaching out to new families. She plans to do this through new programming, support for existing programs like youth on Sundays, and through simple things like attending the games and extracurricular events of our children and youth.
Elisa comes to Mulberry with over 20+ years of experience with spiritual formation, Christian education, and children and youth ministry. A native of Warner Robins, Elisa is a graduate of Valdosta State University and received her dual certification in Christian Education and Children’s Ministry at Pfeiffer University. Elisa has two daughters, Bayleigh and Blayne, and a grandchild, Chesney Barrett Wynn, who is 15 months old. She enjoys all things outdoors – zipping, hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking – and has walked over 240 miles for breast cancer. Elisa is excited about her wonderful opportunity to serve in ministry alongside with the amazing congregation of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church!
